Happy Mother's Day to All!
I was awakened by my eager boys this morning with their hand-crafted gifts from school. Each with a beautiful clear dish plastered with a lovely pattern on the back and laminated with their sweet class photos. Sebastien told me he chose the checkered pastel pattern because it had so many pretty colours on it and Etienne chose the bold red and blue floral one because he thinks it has a Japanese appeal and he knows how much I love Japanese things. How sweet and thoughtful! The twins' teacher told them I will love the "designer" plates they made me- and she is so right!! I also loved the floral design on paper plate by my youngest- you never get tired of your kid's declaration of love for you :).
We were out of bread so instead of making his household famous cinnamon French toast, my sweet husband cooked up our other favourite Banana Buttermilk Pancakes for breakfast! Then onto making my yearly tradition of a scratch Mother's Day Strawberry Shortcake to celebrate with my mom and the rest of the "moms" in the family. smile emotic
Chopped up strawberries made writing on the Strawberry Shortcake easy!
