About Me

Susan Ng
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I am a Chef and Mom to three teenage boys. As a Culinary Consultant and Food Educator, my passion is to bring people together by exchanging food stories and learning about multiculturalism by cooking different cuisines. I have been a Food Professional for over 25 years, from catering, to product and recipe development, to writing for food magazines and two cookbooks. For eight years, I've cooked with kids of all ages as a Culinary Instructor with TDSB Newcomer Services and various communities focusing on healthy eating, multiculturalism and curbing food waste. My specialty is Asian cuisines, and I've written a cookbook titled Hot Pot Cookbook For Beginners (see side bar). ************************** For me now, it's about paying it forward... imparting Food Education and teaching Cooking through school and community collaborations, working with primarily Newcomers in different food program opportunities. I am also a Program Director at Newcomer Kitchen training newcomer women food entrepreneurship to start their own businesses. If you are looking for ideas to create a Culinary Program, Contact Me. Here's to enjoying good food together on the community table. Let's Savour-It 🍒!
